Laurent Camatte from Marseilles, France, established Papillon
Resort more than 12 years ago when Koh Samui was just a
destination for backpackers. With the late evolution of
Koh Samui as an internationally popular destination, changes
were inevitable. Last year, Mike Diesbecq from Australia
injected some new energy into the project, and after months
of renovations, the metamorphosis is complete and we proudly
introduce you to the new Papillon Resort.

our 21 bungalows are richly tastefully decorated with natural
slates and wood, sculptures and handicraft in Lana-Thai style.
There are 4 types of bungalows, nestled amongst the vibrant

find our "Sea View Suite" with two independent bedrooms
and a living room, our "Mini-Suites· which are
the perfect spacing for a small family with its separate living
